Narciso Rodriguez is one of today's top fashion designers. His awards and honors include the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for Best New Womenswear Designer (1997) and the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year (2002 and 2003), as well as the Pratt Institute "Fashion Icon Award," "Best New Designer" at the Vogue/VH1 Fashion Awards, Spain's Aguya de Oro, "Designer of the Year" from the Hispanic Society, and the Hispanic Heritage "Vision" Award. His fragrance, Narciso Rodriguez For Her, has been awarded two British FiFi Awards. Narciso studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked at Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, TSE, and Cerruti before launching the Narciso Rodriguez signature collection in 1997, produced by AEFFE, S.p.A. He was women's design director at Loewe from 1997 to 2001. His women's ready-to-wear collection was first shown in Milan in 1997 and has been shown in New York since 2001. He launched a men's wear line in 2005, and a fragrance, Narciso Rodriguez for Her, in 2003.
